Chemistry Department

The department of chemistry was established in the year 1964 to encourage higher education in and around Hosapete. The department offers B.Sc degree with PCM & CBZ combinations. Our department is having its own staff-room, five well equipped laboratories, preparation room, balance room, store room, along with departmental library. RO drinking water facility is provided to our staff members to have good health and hygiene. Department is having computer with internet facility. Class rooms are provided with LCD projector. Department Library is accessible to the students to prepare for degree exam and other competitive exams.

At present department is having seven permanent staff members of which five are very well experienced in teaching field with 25-30 years of experience. To support the present student strength, department is engaged with three guest faculty staff members. We have four labs which is maintained by four lab attenders.

To meet present day competitive world requirements regular invited lectures and seminars are conducted frequently from well versed faculties from universities, institutes like IISc, IICT etc. To upgrade the knowledge of students. Most of the students get benefited and are securing maximum ranks every year and pursue higher education. In this way department works for the all round development of student.
