The Department was preceded by Sri. Channabasavana Gowda as the staff founder of our department and Dr. M.H. Chandrashekhar shastri succeeded as the Head of Department till their retirement.  Currently, the Department is headed by Sri. Basavaraja S Meti and staff faculty Sri. Anjini B, Dr. Narasimha Murthy T.S.

District’s Historical Heritages, Traditions and Number of Pre-Historic sites  provide a base for the vision of our Department.

—History Books are available  in the U.G.C sponsored Library of SC, ST  cell.
